Since a company had been mandated by my employer to take care of our move, we were expecting at least a couple people to come and pack our stuff on the morning of January 3, and maybe some additional help on the 5th to bring it all down into a truck. Boy were we wrong… The guy who came in ended up doing it all by himself, both packing and moving (3 floors – no elevator).

January 2, 2001These last couple weeks were essentially spent gathering with friends and family. A number of little administrative details also kept us busy and time really flew by – particularly considering that we’ve both been on vacation since Christmas. Vanessa’s plants were in large part given to friends and family members, part of our furniture stored in Switzerland, and the rest given away to friend. Some of them had helped us move so I guess it was only fair ;-)
