I’m just back from the post office with my visa. The package (literally kilograms of paper – 5cm thick!) from my lawyer arrived via FedEx just three days ago. I brought it all to the US embassy the next day where they ended up keeping just a couple letters and forms…. sigh… 48 hours later, it’s all in the mail, and I’m told I need to carry the whole thing in my hand luggage when crossing the border… At least it was easy and fast, and the last thing I’d have needed is having to chase my visa the day we leave. On a different note, we now know where we’re going to live for the first few weeks. This is all actually starting to feel quite real;-)
